Green collar cable for iPhone 6
« on: 07 March 2015, 17:20 »
Hi guys,

Just upgraded to an iPhone 6 and went into VW dealership today to buy the cable to connect the phone. Almost passed out when the guy quoted £77. Can anyone tell me if the one in the link below is the right one or can anyone be so kind and give me another link to one I can purchase? I have the nav pro if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Craig

Can't see the link, but the price is about right for a dealer. If you look on Ebay there are a lot that are claimed to be genuine, but I have doubts, £25 seems to  be the price that the Ebay ones command.

Sorry, stupidly forgot to post the link but have corrected. Your right the prices on eBay do seem suspiciously cheap compared to the dealership.

Suppose at the price they are worth a gamble. if they turn out not to work you can claim a refund back through Ebay?
What Model & year car you using it in?

Use the lead you have with the older connection and buy an adaptor from Apple for 25 quid?

I have a spare genuine VW lightning connector that I purchased for my polo and then Golf came with one if you are interested.

Yes make sure it is green collar, as this enables iTunes album artwork to be displayed.
