Golf Bluemotion 140BHP remap possible ?
« on: 24 November 2011, 08:36 »
Hi,
I have just got my brand new company car, a mk6 Golf Bluemotion Tech 140BHP Match and was wondering if it is possible to remap this ?  I have had other Golfs before and remapped them without any problems but I know that nowdays manufacturers have started encryping ECU's and making them harder to remap.
If someone has had their Bluemotion remapped it would be good to know where they got it done from and what kind of power they are pushing.
I am not bothered about it being a company car, the golf I had was remapped and there was no problems with that.  I am not too bothered about the economy being comprimised either.
I hear you ask, 'why go for a bluemotion in the first place ?'  There is a simple reason for this, TAX.  If I would have gone for the non bluemotion version of the car I would have got stung hard by HMRC and I would rather use that money on making my car quicker for me to enjoy rather than letting the government pi$$ it up the wall.  (I will get off my soap box now)

Carbon Chiptuning can map them to around 180 Bhp and 320 ftlbs of torque.

(I'm a co-owner of Carbon chiptuning by the way)
