this happened today on the gti:
-rod end is replaced because that thread was damaged (wtf)
-broken bolt out of a brake caliper removed
-diff flanges back open for control and closed back with new gaskets
-rear axle bushings inserted
-drive shafts fitted

Now the front axle still has to go back behind the engine and I still have to replace the red bushings by black ones. Because OMG when they see at the approval that I had red bushings around my steeringbox they won't pass it.

english= not so great because I used google translate from dutch because i'm sooo lazy

I hope you have an immaculate body shell to bolt this into. Surely will be the one of the cleanest mk2s in the world?

the bodyshell needs a lot of work, my intention is to make it better then when it left the factory.

Now it's just a shell, a bad paintjob, rust and distorted metal.
