Hi, I have a genuine clipper kit to fit to my cab, however one of the arches is cracked, do those plastic welding kits work ?, or is there a better way to repair it ?. cheers
-
im not that fond of plastic welding - id be tempted to fill it if its only a small crack. I have some cracks in my body kit but because its smoothed to the panels the whole lot has to be filled and resprayed - pain in the ar$e or what! :-\

Hi vixter, the arch has got a couple of cracks about an inch long, I could repair them by bonding a piece behind the cracks and filling the visible side, just wondered if the plastic welding was any good.
-
but because its smoothed to the panels
did u do that or was it done at the factory when it was bought? (I wondered this ages ago)
-
its been modded at some point - side trim was also removed and filled :-\
-
I thought it was original? ???
... did u not mod it then? cos im guessing if u dented or damaged that kit, it'd cost a bomb to repair or refit, and blend etc
-
yep, one crack in the bumper means the entire wing has to be resprayed! :-\
-
But well worth the risk all the same. :)

what about replacing it... or removing it (for whatever reason)
it'd leave marks on the bodywork from where its been blended yes?
then you'd need another respray...
... u have too much cash to risk that lol

but it looks good!!! ::)

oh?
???
