Title: Golf 8 - DCC
Post by: ahpasty on 04 June 2021, 19:34
Hi,

Just ordered a golf 8 GTI with 19’ wheels.

The question is should I purchase DCC for it?

I am using the vehicle on mainly country roads.

Regards

Andrew

Hi and welcome to the forum

This really is a question best asked in the Mk8 forum

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=137.0

But even then, DCC is quite subjective. Half will say it's a must and the other half will say it's not necessary.  :undecided:

Maybe a moot point, but if you have already ordered, is it not too late to change? I have a clubsport without. Currently on 18s, but fitting 19s next week. Ride is fine on 18s, and I can’t say I wish I’d waited to order with DCC

The simple answer is you'd need to test it and form your own opinion.

Certainly on eighteens a performance golf doesn't need it for comfort.

Within the next week Volkswizard will be putting out a review of a Clubsport with DCC compared back to back with a non-DCC car.
He’s a big DCC fan so will no doubt rave about the option but fair to say the car doesn’t ride dreadfully without it on 19’s.
To be honest I’m not a particular fan of DCC but if you’re thinking about getting it then you might as well, it’s definitely not going to make the car worse!!
