if its oe pipe then get to vw and get the proper sleeve, its well engineered and only costs about 10 quid, well worth it. or are you saying your exhaust has holed and you wanna cut the offending pipe out?

tried the proper sleeve (as if you were joinin the 2 together from cat to system) and it is slightly too large, so tried packing it out with another one but it doesnt hold great and it is leaking....

suppose the best way to do it is weld it??  :undecided:

(i've cut an anni one off and put i ton my car.. didnt wanna drop the axle!!!)

was it a new sleeve? i had to replace one on mine when i dropped my exhaust, the other clamp i hammered the bolt fittings wider so it would clamp more. also was it the right one? theres 2 different ones, one for in front of the middle pipe and one behind and there slightly different, same size tubing but the clamps have slightly different bore.

or just get some exhaust flexi and some mikalor clamps if you dont wanna go down the welding route
