Carriers £100 or less from a scrappy.
Use existing calipers.
312mm Pagid discs £70
Pads £30+

So you could do it for £200.

Carriers £100 or less from a scrappy.
Use existing calipers.
312mm Pagid discs £70
Pads £50ish

total comes to £220. I won't mind paying £15 more if that saves me from hassel of crappys.

At the minute, i'm running 18's and thinking to change the wheels sometime in summer and the ones I got in mind, I think bigger brakes will look sweet as they will be more prominent. Also doing ko3s conversion which will follow by G60/VR6 and then 312mm brakes conversion.

It depends what pads and discs they're supplying as it could be cheap crap. He sell the carriers for £100.

i will have a full set 312mm brake set up for sale soon callipers, carriers, ebc redstuff pads and ebc discs £250 all with less than 800 miles on!

sorry to hijack but will braided brake lines what are already on my mk4 fit a set of LCR brembo's?

The brembo's have a different connection at the caliper end,so your current braided hoses won't fit the new set up.Just use the std lcr brake lines for now

15mm spacer???

That is ridiculous? What brakes were you going to run..... reventon brakes?

At the end of the day, people can buy what they want? But i have bought 3 sets of brakes now! The 312 upgrade was nice, as it bit a little more! yet for the money, not worth it! And dont look good under a big wheel!

Where as 4 pots..... are affordable, can be done to a small budget, not hard to get hold of... and look cracking under a wheel!

Devilz..... if you want a very cheap brake upgrade, i would say buy them! But you will be dissappointed for the money you spend!

I would recommend do a 4pot conversion in stages! Buy the calipers, then the discs etc etc. That way you dont blow money all in one go! Up to you pal!

10mm spacers required with 996 rear calipers when running 7.5j RC's with 8j you can get away with none or with LCR brakes you need 20mm spacers
your looking at around £450/£500 for calipers, discs (325/330mm), pads, hoses and caliper spacers which for some, if not most people is a lot of money to spend
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Out of curiosity how much are new carriers from the dealers? Only reason i ask is that i lookde at the other listing for that seller on ebay and he does caliper and carrier for £149 so he must be getting the carriers cheap cause calipers ain't cheap new.
