oh yeh forgot about my little lad thats where he was what are the chance of it been the rear bushes or ball joints

Do a search for it there is loads of info on which ones to get and do's and dont's.
MK4 GTI T AGU, REVO Remap, BMC carbon box, Miltek cat back, Forge diverter valve, THS FR3 engine/Gbox mounts, Some random alloys, lowered on coilovers.
192bhp 212lbft torque.

pm wazzzer he's just done his and made up an installation tool iirc or try an independant garage as vw will want around the £300 mark

Ive just booked mine into a local garage, there reckon 50 pound a side. Had exact same problem, took to local Watling Tyres unit, and was told it was suspension arms, so replaced and noise was worse!

Rear axle bushes common problem, had a look at fixing myself with this DIY guide : http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1980960

However when it mentions removing brake lines etc... no thanks...

Good luck mate, mines being done Tuesdaym bloody annoying noise though i must say.
