Sorry guys, yes answered perfectly thanks. Car is booked in for it's first MOT this Saturday (10th April), so fingers crossed. Even though the car is only 3 years old with less than 17.5k miles on it, I'm still a bit anxious as this will be the first MOT I've had in about 11 years  :D

On a slightly separate follow up note, my 3rd Annual service is also due soon (it was only done on the 4th June last year due to Covid backlogs), so do I assume that the 3rd service is the cheap interim one ?

On the annual time and distance service regime, the third one is a minor service, although the first brake fluid change is also due at 3 years.

I’m sure it will be fine, I don’t think I’ve had a car ever fail first MOT. The main thing would be tyre wear. You won’t find rust or problems with suspension unless you have been rally driving lol

Don’t be anxious, end of the day it’s just a car and can be fixed 😊

Thanks guys. I know they will try and sell me brake fluid change and air con re-gas and usually I would at least have the brake fluid changed at 3 years, but as you may know the GTI is sadly going soon (I have a new Tiguan R-Line on order - due July ish) so I really only want to get the GTI legal so it can be taken again at the end of this month.
