^^^^^ agree 35 in the seats would of finished the car off nice and OMFG WHAT AN ENGINE !! Picked up mine Friday and I'm blown away by it smashes the 2.0 in the Gti I personally reckon that engine will make an appearance in the mk7 Gti if not it should that's how the Gti should be as standard bare grunt!! 10/10 for the ed35 from me v haps!

I doubt that engine will be seen again. It only found its way into the ed35 as it was cheaper and already available in the VW range. The new engine is much more efficient. In future expect the EA888 with the k04 turbo (as the ED30 and ED35 currently have). The down side to the K04 is being a larger turbo you will notice slightly more lag compared to the GTI.  :nerd:

To me there is very little difference in power between the ED35 and the standard GTI, where the ED35 comes into its own is after a remap.

It won't be long until we see some tasty remaps....

sounds completely different to the 2.0 in the gti and the scirocco , im very happy with it at the moment. must get some pics up ....
