Update from me for a change Today  
Just contacted my dealer, Responce is
"At present the factory have not scheduled in to a build week" 
Whats that meen? I guess thats open to interpretation?

The dealer rang me this afternoon to say I will get a car from VW mid Jan until my car comes. He thinks it will be a golf but not a GTI and also confirmed the trade in price on my current car will be as agreed back in August. Good news !!

He said one of the senior VW sales managers will be at his dealership this Thursday to discuss compensation for me and the other two people who have been affected at Wayside, St Albans. I confirmed I want the new car in March and he provisionally agreed-  :smiley:I got the distinct impression he was pi$$ed off with VW.

Anyhow, that's the latest at the moment but will let you know how it goes later on in the week.

Good luck to everyone else who's battling VW at present !

Apparently, my dealer is expecting a transporter tonight, and my car is on there - whoop!

Just called my dealer as its Tuesday..... 

Shifted to Week 07 (w/b Feb 15th 2010) - I'll be lucky to get it for a March 1st "new reg day" at this rate.  Oh well, at least my annual leave days reset at the end of Feb, so I can take a nice chunk of time out to enjoy it.

So *IF* it gets a confirmed build for that week, with a 2-3 week deliver to the dealer, my total wait time would be just over 8 months!!

Spooner, sorry to hear that. Makes me realise how fortunate I've been!

On that note, my car DID arrive at the dealers last night. I now have a registration number and have sorted out the 7-day complimentory insurance, so all looking good to pick it up on Saturday!

Sorry to hear Spooner! thas a F@cKiN joke mate! and yes i also feel a bit fortunate too! (well as long as they are building my car this week!)

At least you will get a 10 plate by time it is registered, although would you have to take the VAT hit if it is registered after march 1st...

I was thinking maybe we should also have a list below the order list of our specs, colour, no doors, options etc?
That way if theres a pattern of a certain item delaying things even further it may show up?
What you guys think?
