colour is great, but i have to admit that the monzas make it look like a GTI.

Agree totally with that, they look nice but the Monzas set it apart imo.

I agree with you in a way, but not looking like a GTI is almost a positive point for me. I live in a relatively poor part of France and GTIs tend to attract Barryboys (known as Jackies in French, lol) around here. I may even debadge the rear just to tone things down a bit, depending on how things go.

The red piping along with the lovely black and red tartan completely set the car apart from the leather which is just plain old black.  For me it had to be the cloth trim it's just so GTI.

I'd intended to get the leather before I even saw the car, but I wasn't that thrilled by the appearance when I did see it.  Then I saw pictures of the cloth, and realised it was rather nice.  Then I heard people here say it was rather nice.  Then the second dealer I went to had cloth on his showroom car, and it was rather nice.  And that dealer was a real fan and actively argued against the leather.

So I spent the money on the DSG instead.

Yeah but mines been curbed.  9 days old and scuffed already, it was that white van man what done it gov.  Am I sick or what, you'd need to look really close to see it but I know it's there and that is what hurts
