I bought a GTI

Hi all.
Very new to the VW gang. First time I will be owning a GTI , . I've gone for the Clubsport and the 45 anniversary edition.
Not picked it up yet so not quite over the line.
I'm coming from a MK3 Focus RS , Just hope I'm doing the right thing !

Quick question , How many 45 Editions were made in the UK ?? I can't seem to find the answer on the tinterweb .

The Ed45 will lack the drama of an RS for sure so let’s hope you’ve done the right thing, but it’s a great package as far as 4 pot 2.0’s go.
I’ve got a normal Clubsport and have had it almost three years now, I certainly didn’t expect to keep it that long as normal 18 months is good going for me.

No idea on the numbers of 45’s, there certainly won’t be more than a few hundred. Maybe post up a thread in the mk8 section as someone is bound to have an idea even if just going from sites like ‘howmanyleft’

Like Exonian, I have a relatively early Clubsport (had from new for 27 months now). 

I've only ever seen one other Clubsport on the road and haven't seen a 45 yet.   

I only live 15 miles from Birmingham so it's not like I'm in the sticks either.

Welcome mate. I have had my 45ed since may, and i think i have only seen 1 clubsport not a 45 though. Both cars very rare at mo.
Ultimate all rounder too.  :smiley:

According to the DVLAs statistics, as of the end of Q2 2023 there were 133 Edition 45s on the road, and 2 SORN.

Great to hear all  your comments. I've picked it up now and drove home through mid Wales . Very good on the Twisties . I'm impressed 😁
