I think the version and part numbers might be different for a pro Nav compared to Discover Nav even though they technically use the same maps.

Go to your maps and then settings and then press version information. You should see the same screen as what others have posted up. 👍

Well this is what I have, it still accepts the new data as a valid update, but nothing changes.
I'll assume it's the latest, and leave it as is. I don't really use it anyway  :wink:

I think if your unit picks up the update and loads it in then it works. It doesn't reset the unit or do anything fancy. 👍

Hi, can anyone help me with this? My 2014 golf gti has no sd card but maps still work. Is that right?
Also how do I know what my infotainment system is? Is there an easy way to tell?

So I have discover pro. Can anyone answer whether the sat should work without any sd card?

Also is there much difference between the discovery Pro on mine and discover pro on a 2017 on? They look totally different
Same updates for both?
