Spotify
« on: 18 June 2021, 16:22 »
Just having a few hours set up of my new CS and I thought I'd ask the Oracle (i.e. you lot!) the best way to play your Spotify playlists.   Using a Bluetooth connection from my phone didn't show any album art or show the playlists, which was very disappointing.

I'll play with the settings a bit more this weekend but is there an obvious solution that I'm missing?

Cheers Foxy.  Thanks for your help.  I have an Android phone but that's a good option.  I'll try Android Auto in a day or two and report back. 👍

On another thread about Harmon Kardon Fred said he gets better quality of sound through use of Alexa, I know at home we often play/use Spotify via amazon devices/Alexa so that may be an option worth exploring.

He also references use of a bot on his android phone to ensure its connected and enabled as a WiFi hotspot for the car as soon as he gets in, that way all the cars connected services work despite the unreliable cars own connection

Am sure he can correct me but worth finding and reading those posts I think

That sounds a bit technically challenging for me but I will try a few options and let you all know what works.

Thanks Kenis.

I did notice there is a setting for Bluetooth volume low medium or high I suspect that will make a difference to output

Use android auto would be my suggestion.

You should get some sort of display from Spotify like that. It might not be too detailed as android auto deliberately has low clutter to prevent distraction...

I thought the op said they had android... If not , use apple carplay...

Try that first as it's the easiest solution.
