@Exonian; that’s exactly what I was about to say. Moonstone is my favourite mk8 colour and works really well with the GTI styling accents.

The mk8’s looks are also very gradually growing on me - probably more a case of me having got used to the way it looks .

Congrats, Fred.  I agree, it does look good in that colour.  I was debating between Dolphin and white and eventually went for white, as darker greys are insanely common at the moment....but Moonstone has really grown on me recently and I think that if I was making the choice now, I would be very torn between that and white.

Having been to see my Clubsport a few days ago, I also know that pictures really don't do the car justice, either.  It looks SO much better in the flesh.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing more pictures, Fred.  When you take a break from enjoying it, of course!

Cheers guys.

Happy so far, spent the day rummaging in menus and trying to figure things out.

Yes front assist has more tea breaks than even me it seems... Hmm

Pleased with the colour, it's battleship grey so I thought a fitting backdrop for the photo.

Just some quick observations... Nineteens are heavy old wheels, i can feel them on the corners a fair bit. Dcc soaks it up like a charm though, think it was a good decision. The hud is rather neat, barely need to look at the dash. I pootled along mainly on the way home, it's pretty harmless in comfort mode, quiet, well behaved and forty mpg. In sport mode and a bit of flappy paddle cog dropping its like a spanked weasel. Best of both worlds.

I'm also home without being crippled or having my fillings shaken out of my head.

This is what a golf gti is about in my humble opinion.
