Nice spot Herr Doc, but 'grab a bargain'? Or are there a lot of ancillaries attached to those that mean most of the retro fit would be complete?
Sorry, but it's been a while since all the xenon retro fit excitement and I've lost track of what's what apart from Mike's very useful parts list and Asker's price list from his German supplier.

Hi, this is my first post on the forum and I wondered if you guys can help....

I have a Tiguan (which I think is based on the Golf 6?) and am looking to gather parts for an OEM xenon retrofit.

I realise I can get a kufatec harness, ballast, D1S bulbs etc and complete a retrofit without auto levelling.

However I would like to install auto levelling and AFS if possible - just can't find any retrofit instructions to be confident to DIY it !

Can anyone out there help with a DIY guide to do the auto levelling  - or is it best to avoid this ?

Here is a link on what is involved in fitting the autolevelers on a MK5 golf.

This may put you off

I have done it on the MK6 but not sure I would tackle it again, the hardest part for me was connecting into the CAN BUS wiring for the AFS controller.
Mk6 GTI 3dr | DSG | Tornado Red | 18" Monza 2 | LED Xenons | RNS510 | Bluetooth | Smoked LED tails | Cruise | Reversing Camera | TPMS | - now sold :(

Has anyone tried these "made in china" versions???

Interesting. I wonder just how 'plug and play' they are.
The only issues I can see are that they aren't E marked so may have insurance and MOT complications. Aside from the lack of self levelling and possible CECM complications. If it weren't for that I think I'd order a set just for experimental purposes.
