cost depends on the car, it isn't £70 if your car is non-dbw.

At least read the guide at the top of the mk4 section and then make a decision as it doesnt sound too bad.

I can see why your tempted to get VW to fit it, I read the guide and there are a few things that I would not be confident in doing, playing with the airbag sounds a bit scary too lol.

At least with VW there is comeback if anything goes wrong, if you DIY it's all down to you - I might get VW to fit it on mine if I keep it :)

I just checked out the Cruise control fitting guide thread, seems someone is having some troubles going the DIY route which makes me think that I'll def get VW to do it, it's just the lesser of 2 evils for me, I'd rather pay and get it done properly than spend a weekend getting annoyed with stuck bolts and quirky electrics,

rustyte: thats precisely why i dont want to mess with it, i got a price 180 thats inclusive of the kit which is £63.87 that means its roughly 120 fitted with warranty and labour thats gotto be a great deal.

the problem with the guide is that its only a guide if u cock summot up there isnt a answer for it,   and most are not that technically minded, i had a mate who had his arm blown off tempering with a airbag too, so i wudnt personally mess with em, considering vdub charge 84 quid an hour i think 180 is a crackign price, and atleast there peace of mind if the thing goes wrong,

just as a query does the cruise control replace the indicator stalk?
