So my current tyres say on them: 225/40ZR18

Can someone please confirm that these are 100% the ones I need. I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to buying tyre so trying to learn and don't want to mess up ordering
https://www.blackcircles.com/catalogue/goodyear/eagle-f1-asymmetric-5/225/40/R18/Y/92/f?tyre=38601674

Price works out at - £259.76
(£71.19 x 4 - £25 with voucher for buying 4)

Yep that's all correct 225/40R18 is the standard fitment for GTI's with 18's and the ZR speed rating is for over 150mph

£260 seems a bargain for 4 quality performance tyres! When I had my Audi, for 17s they were £130 each 18 years ago. Thinking about it, for 15s on the Lotus I had in the 90s was about the same too.

I paid £260 last year for the exact same set of tyres, same discount code and same company lol. Golf Tyres are a mystery to be honest my brother went from a 3 series to a mk7 and thought £260 was for two 18's not a set of 4 lol

Probably a benefit of so much badge engineering by VAG group majority of cars have 18's all 225/40R18 to keep running costs down.

Yeah. I was going to ask my local which I always go to how much they'd charge for fitting. They also sell the tyres but are £100 more

The tyres on BlackCircles are £71.19 or £87.99 fully fitted. How does that work out when you're buying 4 tyres? Is it £16 extra for fitting or £16 extra per tyre?

It’s an extra £16.80 per tyre for fully fitted, making the total £87.99 x 4 = £351.96. However, I see Blackcircles currently have a promotion running on these tyres; £25 discount if you’re buying 4, so that brings the fitted price down to £326.96.

Thanks. I've actually just checked the Halfords website and they do them for £299 fully fitted (At one of their stores or they'll come to your house). Seems like a good price. Not sure if the home service is any good though?

Costco have an offer on Michelin tyres at the moment, buy 2 and get £50 off, buy 4 and get £100 off.

Im having 2 PS4's 235/35/19's fitted tomorrow, £235 fitted. I like costco as they are nitrogen filled, workshop is generally spotless too. Anyway, the Costco offer is on until the end of May.
