Today i finally got round to removing the rocker cover,inlet manifold,249/112 valves,throttle body and for all the folk thinking of doing it its not an easy as some would say,even threads I've found on vw vortex didn't explain everything,i had wires in places nobody had mentioned,i asked in the other thread about anything underneath the inlet and was told there's nothing underneath yet i had 4 hoses to remove(aum),the old gasket for the rocker cover snapped into pieces it was so brittle,tomorrow i'm getting on with the sanding and painting,couldn't believe the state of some of the bits,i'll let the pics do the talking

Sanded, fillered, sanded and painted. Then put it back together. Update later

so on an aum is it the flat bit across the middle of the tb i can't touch? was gonna do the pcv edit but all the how to's i've seen have a slightly different setup to mine and i'm not 100% sure so i'm leaving that just now
