On the subject of fitting different width tyres, would you be more likely to get uneven tyre wear or need different wheel alignment settings?
I often wish we had changed the width on my wife's Ibiza. She had 215/45/16. The price of tyre was higher than my Leon and options were much more limited. just to get better options would have been reason enough for me. I was advised against doing so as that was what was designed for the car.
