Anyone have any experience of fitting poly bushes to their car?

Pros cons etc...

I would not recommend poly bushes for a road car. I fitted superpro bushes to my LCAs -extra NVH through the dash and they started squeaking badly after 6 months so changed to OEM bushes - you can get the CSS bushes which firm things up nicely without the squeaks. The CSS had firmer bushes in the front and rear control arms.

How’s your clutch Richard?

Thanks for that Paul, got a part number on the CSS bushes by any chance?

Clutch is fantastic, completely OEM pedal feel. I did experience some minor judder from standing starts initially but that's gone now. They just need plenty of bedding in miles on them.

Later GTI bushes have been superceded and are the same as CSS bushes IIRC.

They have small voids in them just to allow the bush to move - 81A 407 183

You could always fit TTRS bushes which are still rubber but have no voids - 8S0 407 183B

CSS OE is 5Q0407183F

The void is close to none existent but I would go with the TTRS no void option as stated by madstaff if I was replacing mine! Biggest difference imo is to get a good alignment - the VW specifications are so wide.

Paul is (was) right with that part number but I'm sure it's been superceded with 81A 407 183.

Trouble is TTRS bushes with no voids could be a bit harsh if on 19s??

I'm on 18" winters atm but i do have 19s for the summer. I think maybe the OEM CSS ones might be the best option for me.

But then i found these... Anyone tried these before?

I assume this part number 81A 407 183 is for the larger bushes shown at the bottom here...

What about the smaller ones?
