« on: 06 January 2013, 03:54 »
Hi,

Thank you for stumbling onto my Build thread.

The car originally started as a 1.8T AUM GTI, with 115k on the clock with no modifications.

Sadly no pictures available at the moment on how she started

Please leave comments and advice, Thank you

My first little mod I did to break the ice:

I then decided to purchase a badge less grill:

Next i liked the effect of checkered patterns:

To match my red toe hook:

I then read up about smoothing the airbox

Also included a pipercross panel:

Next was the cai:

Bought myself a 007p:

Next was piping:

Next up was to get some bora vents

also changed interior:

Next was a trial sticker (didn't like)

Then upgraded the lighting in the boot using some led strips and glued them to the parcel shelf, with a point to disconnect (used an old power supply adaptor)

Cheeky upshot:

Next was a trip to R-tech [8] was impressed with my results [Y]

Next was a small mod for the intercooler:

Got bored with some spare vinyl lol:

Didn't like the whole route i was going so i painted the toe hook white to start a theme:

The theme begins:

Got fed up with only having an Iphone connection, so i improvised and built a usb in the ashtray, so i can use my Iphone, and now USB

And as the car stands now (is a little lower than that at the moment)

as I'm having ARB issues
