Title: abs pump/ecu woes....rare part numbers from late mk3 ???

Hi all,
got a bit of an issue with an abs pump/ecu unit - this is from a late mk3 ('98) 2.016v gti .

Unit is goosed, been off to bba reman but they cant fix - proving v difficult to find replacement unit - do any of you guys know if any of these parts are interchangeable ??

part numbers I have are - 1h2 614 217 e / 3a0 907 379 e for pump and ecu.

I have found a few on ebay from Germany that match but are expensive,,, a few others that nearly match....one  is showing part number 1h2 614 117 e .....does anyone know if any of these codes relate to functions ? traction control etc ?

If you ask the main dealer with our part number they should be able to able to tell you what ones will fit.
I had the same issue with my 8v. Had a lucky find in the end.
It did take a few months of on and off searching

thanks for reply - kind of what I thought - just need to keep scanning ebay etc for right part number...

I was lucky that my local vw specialist garage gave me some advice on what one to look for.
Can you confirm what part number it is? I do have one in the shed that was not the right fit for mine.

Ecu - 3A0 907 379
Pump -1H2 614 117 B
If that is compatible
