now then! im new to the site but been looking on it for a bit in the the classified page!

im on the hunt for a mk3 golf gti, is there much difference in the 8v and 16v performance wise?

Hey, welcome to the forum.  :cool:

There is continuing and never ending debate over which is best. 8v has more low down torque but 16v has more top end power. Not a huge amount in it... both are slow compared to other cars... Although both are fast enough to get you in trouble with mister policeman no problem.  :wink:

plenty info in the mk3 section, don't be afraid of the search function  :cool:
Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?
