Right wee update, I hate it when you read a thread and someone asks advice and you never hear what happened.
Sorted starting issue, was a dodgy earth to back of g/box
was contacting and not contacting making it difficult to diagnose but cleaned and tightened starts on the button now.
Sorted top mounts now, ended up only being a 5min job to take off top mount, remove offending nut and nip back up. Only took 5mins but did take and 1hr on the first side as we tried a couple of different ideas and I needed to dash off and buy new tools
. All valuable experience so will be able to do it no probs next time.
Also big ups to the Bad Boy Bobby B for coming out and helping me out when he was clearly dying from an acute case of the death cold. I'll be able to return the favour when he pulls his finger out and buys either a mk2 or E30....
