mkII 16v engine pictures?
« on: 11 April 2003, 15:53 »
Does anyone know where I could find some up-close pictures of a mkII 16valve engine (fitted).  I really need this so my mechanic friend can finish putting a 16v engine into an 8v mkII.  Help!  My car has been off the road for over 18 months >:(

Would pictures from the ETKA help (VAG parts fische)?
If not, what, specifically, would you like pictures of and I'll help you try and find some.
You've been at this a while now haven't you? Must be frustrating.

it seem as if someone is watching over me.  you have been more than helpful.  Luckily enough, today I grabbed someone with a mkII 16valve and forced her to wait while I took nearly 30 pictures of their engine with a digital camera.  I am not a mechanic but the person who is doing the car thinks that this will help a lot.  Yes, I am frustrated.  I have been without my Golf for 19 months now, and this is the third mechanic.  The engine is turning over now but not starting.  It has the vacuum pipe from the 8valve but the mechanic pressed some lever to for fuel up or something and it still would not start.  Anyway, thanks for your help, I will let you know how I get on.  Hopefully the car will be fixed by next Xmas!!
