GTI Build Dates - Anyone got one yet?

Well, a few weeks before the shutdown I was notified that my confirmed build week was 32 which fits with the graphic provided.  I haven't heard anything to the contrary but nor have I bothered to chase it either.

Yep!!! She definitely said next week Week Commencing 12th August ie BW32.... I'm sure she wouldn't be yanking my chain just for the hell of it

BW32 is W/C 05 Aug, W/C 12 Aug is BW33.

Ooooops!!!! My Bad  Must be the Hot weather we've been having..  Just to confirm my order is due to be built next week BW32 W/c 5th August... Thanks for putting me straight bud.

So the pic above says a 4 week shutdown between weeks 29 and 32. 29,30,31,32 inclusive. Zoom in and look at the red bit at the top right. First build week after shutdown is 33.

Its a strange one that for sure. My build week was confirmed at 26 then 32 but I have the feeling its now likely to be 33 with the factory closure...

Good point!  Still, I'll be contacting my dealer tomorrow to make sure build week 32 is still on, and if I get it fed bad to me that it's going to be 33, I'll be on the phone to exec customer services requesting my own set of vouchers

I've got to the point where I believe nothing. The only good news is that I'm test driving a manual three door version without PP and with ACC tomorrow, which hopefully will be near enough in spec to mine (additional to my spec is ACC and Nav Pro). Haven't managed to drive one yet...  really looking forward to it.

To be truly honest I'm past caring.  It'll be built soon enough and then six weeks after that I'll be driving around in it and all the stress will be forgotten!

Hope the test drive goes well DougL.  I've not bothered as I want the first one I drive to be mine.  Still, I've got a Mk5 GTI now so really don't feel the need to.

I have to say when I was in contact with the VW Executive Office they told me the shut down was 29-32 inclusive. Either way it's only an extra week and we've all waited so long anyway!
