GTI Build Dates - Anyone got one yet?

Looking at the GTD thread loads of us are expecting a BW36, should be interesting

I have to say when I was in contact with the VW Executive Office they told me the shut down was 29-32 inclusive. Either way it's only an extra week and we've all waited so long anyway! 

The plot thickens!!!... She sounded so convincing as well when she told me production would begin next week (BW32). You just don't know who to believe, but like you said its only a weeks difference & we've waited this long already so its a case of just sucking it up!!!

I'd just wish they stop giving misleading information!

I've been told bw 37 for my GTD ?? perhaps the Germans come back off holiday when they are good and ready

Rik your build week is 1 after mine yet I ordered 6 and a half weeks earlier than you. nothing with these cars make any sense at all!

Found out this morning my build week has slipped again to bw37 from bw36 

Getting so fed up of this.......................

I see you've ordered reversing camera? I bet that's the hold up.

Yes I have ordered the reversing camera. I spoke to VWUK last week and they expected the car to go to BW36 confirmed so I thought the camera was no longer an issue

I'm build week 32 (tomorrow) so sorting out all my MP3's onto SD card and ordering detailing products...  Dealer thinks I should have it before September 1st (sounds optimistic, but hope she's right!) 

I'm actually tempted to look into Wolfsburg collection and doing the factory tour first. Dealer says they can arrange it with VW no problem and just need me to fill a form in to do it, before they give me the paperwork to take with me. (I can't get my head around how that works re plates and registration etc at the moment, but they say there's a way).

you can't do the Germany collect anymore so I was told. something to do with tax and vat and insurance and everything else we get ripped off with in this country
