Or try getting parts that are exchangeable onto the new car?
Tbh insurance never seems to get better, the 1.8T is quite high up on the groups an if ya young it's a pain in the ass
My PD130 has finally come down on insurance cost 
Yeah I'm 21 so I recon I have at least 4 years before it'll drop enough to warrant buying one! any advice on what I can do to this in the mean time? as I got this at a steal so have a couple of hundred £s left over, The cambelt. water pump and starter moter have just been changed and in the past 3 years it's had a new clutch gear box and a couple of sensors changed.
