Well I had a leak in one of the coolant pipes.  The one that goes from the block to the heater matrix valve.  It had a spilt on the large bore flange at the block.

Well, took it off and as you know the bore at one end (block) is larger than the other end (matrix valve).

Managed to take a pipe off the 1.3 in the garage that had similar bores, but the 1.3 pipe bend the wrong way.  Bit of a trim and and fitted like a charm.

Almost justifies keeping the 1.3 for the last 12 years.

Rest of kit to fit, more painting, replace heater valve, new camber bolts, new bumpers to fit, grille and lights, drop exhaust a tad. bleed the new brakes, fit tyres, MOT.......... fail MOT.  fix failed stuff.  work on the quattro bonnet... DRIVE IT!
