I am mad but i literally just woke up one day and was like i want a new car,, got my loan approved and then bought the car and then realised the insurance cost some of us people just have to learn the hard way :)

You must be getting ripped off or something surely, is your car standard. I got my A3 1.8t tqs when i was 18 with one year for both, i was paying £1800 then the next year was £1200, now in my mk2 16v and its £1500 with the same insurers!!

If i didnt put my mum down i would of had to pay like £1000 more. Im with admiral now but with the 1.8t i was with bell direct. Put your mum or dad down as a named driver and see what happens.

Im 19 with a 2000 1.8t and im paying £850 fully comp, when i bought the car i was 18 and was paying £1000 fully comp

I do have my stepdad down as a named driver on my policy and my mum doesn't have a license..

Oh yer and my car is standard :)

Just went on Bell and they have just quoted me £3200 its probably my occupation that puts it down :(

I dont know to be honest, my first car was a Ford Ka and i paid £2000 to insure that and i just about shat myself when i got quoted £1000 for the 1.8t with only a year and half No Claims
