Makes me mad - They just don't give 2 sh1ts about you & you're car.  You're just 1 more notch towards their performance targets/bonuses!!! :angry:

p.s.  You shouldn't have to tell them what's best to be done - They should be telling YOU what's necessary.

If anybody else doesn't know their cambelt history or got no receipts of work done by the previous owner etc, then get the belt, W/P & tensioners/pulleys done asap!

I take it at metal propeller genuine part it the best WP to go for - i did see someone fitted an aftermarket metal one tho  :undecided:

Gutted mate, sorry to hear it. £500 is a bit steap but when your knee deep in the brown stuff i suppose you don't really have another option!

I was half expecting me to be on the back of a recovery truck after the ECU issues, thankfully all was good.

The cam belt on my car was changed before i bought it, by Skoda, and they never changed the W/P either.  :undecided:
Best check my rac cover.  :lipsrsealed:

Jinxed it now.  :rolleyes:
