So with the car due to go into the Balls'd workshop this weekend I fort Id sort out my tyre situation.

The rears have been rubbing since I've owned the car due to the arches not being rolled the best, so until they get sorted l8r when I attack the body work I thought I'd go for a bit more stretch.

There's to reasons for this, firstly I want the car to rest on the lip of the wheel once it's on air and secondly the tyres needed changing and I still had 4 nearly new 195/40 falkens sitting on my d90s.

So when it comes to fitting and stretching tyres there's only 1 place n person I will go and see and that's glen at hadleigh tyres. I won't trust anyone else. These guys just understand what u want and they no how to look after a wheel.

So this morning I got it sorted

Heres how the tyres looked b4. Bit of camber wear. Ooops.

Can't believe that's how the where. Will more than likely be getting rid of the camber shims as the new stretch has released a fair bit of arch room and once rolled properly will free up some more. I also dont want to ve going through tyres monthly lol as this is the daily!! When this is done I will prob fit a 5mm spacer to get the stance bang on.

So with the tyres removed from the d90s and the 9" th lines it was just a case of swapping the tyres over and binning the nackered 1s. Simple. Well I say simple but we did need the help of the cheater!!

So with a bit of trouble getting them on they where fitted and look like this.

And how the cars sits once fitted

Love how you can see the lips from the rear.

So next it will be dropped off to Matt for him to work his magic. Will keep u updated.

That is nuts

Just a little

But with wanting the arch between the wheel and tyre and the fact I already had the tyres it was a no brainer. Another time I would have probably went for a 205. It's not guna be a race car so won't be going round corners at crazy speed and probably just aswell

I can't help but think how dangerous those tyres look.

Otherwise its a pretty sweet build.

There obviously a bit on the extreme side n as said above if I didn't have the tyres laying around I would have went for a 205/40 tyre. I've got to be honest tho I've had worse n they where fine.

My m8 runs 8j rms n is running a 165/45 on the front. 3000miles last year including a day long trip to holland n he hasn't had a problem. 2L carbed under the bonnet aswell so no slouch.

If it was tracked regularly or driven like a twit all the time then I should expect problems but those days r long gone.

Thanks for the comment tho and once finished in sure you will understand the reason for it
