here you go
http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html
that should help
add your dimensions and then you can work out the port length
i did it earlier and the port wanted to be 3" wide and 12.75" long to give tuning of 35hz
this was based on your measurements but taking into account these were external dimensions i deducted the wood thickness so internally it would be 33.5" x 15.5" x 16.5"

A Mk 3 boot is big enough for that?

it certainly is
it will take up most of the boot though

a sealed box would be smaller, and sound tighter. normally the subs manual advises on the optimum enclosure size.

I had 2 powerplants sealed & I have to say I preferred them ported.

@Len. I thought that's what boots were for. I'll be shortly putting in my new inch thick, 3cu ft, double baffle box for my 12inch. No room for anything after that!

A well designed, well built ported enclosure should sound better than a sealed.

True but you wouldn't see 35hz in a sealed box I don't think.
