Title: GTD turbo whooshing sound
Post by: Wrex22 on 21 May 2019, 19:45
My 2018 GTD (13000 miles on the clock) has started to make a whooshing sound when accelerating, usually after changing gear. Is this something I need to be concerned about ?

is it when accelerating or after letting off the gas to change gear? first could just be a boost leak, second is more likely sticking actuator

I hear a whooshing sound and it sounds like it comes from the front left side (but I could be wrong)

I quite like it

Mines is a VW GTD MK7 DSG on 75k miles. I don't feel the tell tale signs like loss of power etc. but could be actuator? I like the actuator too. Going to try and see if I can increase the volume if it isn't on highest setting already.

If it is turbo issues what would be people's advise? Where do I start?
