Bought my 2019 7.5 manual with no extras and 3.5k miles at 16 months old some 15 months ago and now on 9.9k. Really enjoying the car and it does all I want. Currently in my 7th decade. Will keep it till the petrol runs out or I peg out
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

Picked up my new GTI PP in Feb 2014 and on 97,000 miles of trouble free motoring apart from needing a new DSG gearbox. Still prefer the car to any of the newer offerings.

My GTI PP is from 2014, can't believe its coming up to 8 yrs old! with under 60k on the clock.

I got it at 8 months old and it still drives very well, no issues, just usual maintenance stuff - I'm hanging on to it for another year or two

MK 7 GTD (3 years), MK 7 R (3 Years) and MK 7.5 TCR with 15,000 miles (2 years) and intend to keep the TCR 8-10 with it as main car for say another 3 then moved to the 2nd car duties

Absolutely nothing out there within my budget has me hankering for a change, still love driving the TCR, its the best of my MK 7 series experience, with the mix of touch and manual cabin interaction spot on and performance and looks in my sweet spot also.

At 3 year mark will pay for a full detail and crack on enjoying all its virtues.

2014 PP, I purchased it in 2017, 103k and going strong. Lovely little car to get around in and still bags of fun to drive.

From all seen of high mileage MK 7, they are incredibly durable and really do not show or feel their mileage if keep them maintained, and one of the reasons that put in the melting pot as my justification to just keep my present car.

Imagine going to share the mileage more with second car at 3 years, so my present 7-9k will likely be 4-5k, and so even at 10 years from now, its likely only going to be a 60k car.

March 1st 2014 for my GTD, so just about to tick over 8 years. Bought new from Peterborough VW. I have no desire to replace it, my car allowance has more than paid for it.

My wife uses it these days to commute as its compliant with Birmingham clean air zone.

Mk6 11 years, mk1 31 years.
Prob keep the mk6 a couple more years.
I regret not buying a mk7 clubsport when new as I'm not a fan of the current mk8
