Booo, you may have lots of drive and not stop (i would too if I had a garage) but did you work too quickly without thinking about what it is you really want?.....  To be honest with the skills and tools you have, it wouldnt take much to cut that sh*t out now would it.

Nice work on the boot!  :afro:

you looked at mine yet?....  :lipsrsealed:

Cheers guys

the plan was to totaly do away with the bumper and have
as much airflow to the intercooler as possible so thats what i done haha but now i look at other mk1s they look a little naked up front with out a bumper hmm
mm i supose il just have to wait now intill the engine in
and its on its lows with the wheels on

shaun
Yeah i had a peep at your build and im liking the progress i
hope the mk1s goin shiney again tho :D top work tho

Well you may as well carry on as planned for now, get the motor in etc, see what you think of it when done and  if you're not happy, you'll just have to undo your handy work and stick a nice littl bumper on there....

to be honest though I too think a mk1 looks naked without bumpers... sometimes a totally stipped out rally style one looks ok but in most cases... nah.

Some have tried to convince me to run without bumpers but with the way i'm doing mine I dont think it will look right and I think for road use you need bumpers!

Yes I want to go back to its orginal, stunning gloss black, realistically at least a year from now!
