Had a good run out to charge the battery ..oh and to pick my son up from university... obviously I’m  not doing much motorway mileage at the moment and I was shocked to find rules had changed. Apparently on a 4 lane motorway you can use the 3rd lane as your own personal lane when there is no traffic in the 2nd lane, who knew? Not me :wink:

Simple change but added a gloss/satin black badgeskin for the front emblem. Will most likely divide people but I’m going for a more aggressive look and I think it works! Will be adding a splitter and dechroming the grille.

Cleaned all 3. 🪣

Used the 2bm on the wife's then ONR on mine. The Grom was only dusty from storage so a quick spray of ONR onto a microfiber did the job.

The Corsa (workhorse) in the background gets cleaned when it rains or when the car wash is on offer at £1.50 🙃

It's not bad at all tbf. Not as comfortable as the Golf but it's good fun for what it is. The steering and clutch are heavy and the throttle response is much better than the Golf. I'd have one.

Waved it off this morning, with its new owner driving it back from Surrey up to its new home in Northern Ireland.

A truly remarkable 'all-rounder', that over 21500 miles did everything I threw at it, without grumble. It's not often I'm sad to see a car go, but I am feeling slightly nostalgic with this one...



A quick thanks to everybody on the forum who has helped and given me advice/help on my journey.  :smiley:

Off this week so decided to finally ceramic coating the car, following it's Xpel+ application. Hopefully there's a bit of sun tomorrow to get some nice photos before I get some Michelin PS4S' put on.
