Had a look under the bonnet this morning and the cable was still attached securely to the arm, but the arm had no tension in it. From looking on here it appears the clutch release finger has broken. Anyway I got the AA to to give me a lift to my preferred VW specialist, and they will hopefully be sorting it Monday. Really could do without this though when I've just spent so much money!

Still no wheels, not that it matters as I won't have the car til early next week now. Got a Mk4 TDI as a courtesy car, must say I much prefer my Mk3! Still got some parts in the post, new strut mounts for when I change my shocks. Ordered Febi but I got Meyle ones for the rear, hope they're of similar quality.

Don't worry, Meyle are a decent substitute.

I won't worry then!

Just got a call from the garage and it is the clutch release finger as I hoped and not anything more serious, will have the car back tomorrow :-)

Wheels arrived today, Dare Dr-B in 8 x 16 running Yokohama S-Drive 195/45/16 rubber. Came with Borbet centre cap stickers which I was going to buy anyway but also with a set of 4 Bimecc 15mm hubcentric spacers! no idea why as I didn't order them! To be honest the wheels are et25 so I doubt I'll use them,  but still, pretty amazing free gift!

Excellent stuff,  fancy swinging a pair of those spacers over in my direction for some beer tokens?

One set will definitely be for sale at a very reasonable price  Going to try the wheels on the rear with the spacers tomorrow and see how far they stick out, don't want to be fannying around with the arches!

Small updates, I have added a black rear badge, and plate surrounds. Apologies for the dirty car, weather has been awful, and I'm driving to rural Wales tonight so don't see the point in washing it!

Still waiting on my springs, H&R have had to make some specially as they were out of stock. hopefully with me next week so I can lower it at the weekend. :)

Test fitted a wheel earlier with the spacers on, as you can see they stick out way too much and would need the arches rolled and flared when my car is lowered. So will definitely be selling both pairs of spacers. Might have to roll the arches anyway and trim the arch trims but I'm happy to do that. Anyway they look sweet!

Wheels look great dude, what are the rim and tyre specs? The poke don't look to bad to me, get some camber shims to sort that out ;)
