CCGTI MK3 now with pictures
« on: 20 April 2010, 08:50 »
Right i sold my Octavia VRs and wanted something cheap to play with, but also wanted the best car for my money as i didnt want a total shed as its my daily car and the wife would leave me if i put another shell on the drive like when i bought a MK1 cabrio shell for 99p off ebay (her face was a picture)

I bought my self a Colour concept in jazz blue, it had been in 1 family and bought from new

it has a small rust scab on the passenger side rear quarter and its standing like a scared cat, also one of the fog lights was damaged

Right so my plan is to keep the car cheap so i started searching ebay for parts

The car cost me £850, a lad down the road from me was selling some Gmax shocks and Koni springs he was breaking off a vr6 so i managed to win the bid for £63, I also managed to get my self some A3 Pepperpots from a women in Nottingham who had never used her them for £75 and i didnt want to pay silly money for tyres so i managed to win some Nankang 195/50/15R for £67 from a bloke in skipton

Me and mymate steve went to are local tyre garage to get the tyres swaped over and went home and decided to spend a day in the rain dropping the car

As you can see from the pics we tried to prevent some rust with hammermite, next on the list is some fresh paint, and a momo team steering wheel
