Has been considered, although I'm really liking the boldness of the Akai cars.

Why an 82 particularly?... I'd say a run out 83 Campaign is the one to have or a late 70's swallow tail.

Far too much work?... Why's that then? They're quite simple when you get to know them.  Only issue sometimes is sourcing decent parts.

  I'm always on the look out for one.. when I find them the prices are just well over the top, especially when there is no guarantee that it will even work.

That is true.

Found this - 1.8 K-jet i think not sure if it will fit?

Thanks....  I already have this is in my watch list... £42!!!  Robbing gets.  I'm in the process in contacting a a couple of people on ebay who are breaking mk1's to see if they have one and how much they would sell it for.   I missed one for a fiver not that long ago.. gutted.

Or you could try this company.

Now that's what I'm talking about...  Great link thanks.  They do repairs as well as sales, contacting them right now.... Thanks.

Will do... There is no option to simply buy one, I had to send an enquiry.  So I have asked what my options are, can they test and repair my current one, can I buy a new one and do they do they have a refurb/exchange option available.

Thanks again for the link.  All I've been doing is trying to source second hand options on places like ebay.  Didn't think the above was even an option for a part like this.
