I suggested number 51 as it was on the second, so still going with the originals.. but if you want you could always use 69

Oh of course... doh....

Not sure on 69 although it's tempting  I was possibly thinking of 83 as it's the year of the car.  The numbers pictured aren't the only numbers the cars had.  Could put Lens age on the side but there won't be enough room.

Plus, if it's 51 it looks like SI.

Soundillusion for the slower ones.

Another poor update........... sorry.

Had to get some gear out of the golf to do some critical engine work on the other halfs car and took a snap of these:

Pair of genuine OEM wings.  Oxide primered but never fitted.  Snapped them up for a decent price as they are very hard to get hold of, especially for reasonable money.  I need the N/S one as I think the one I ended up doing up and fitted is from a cabby, bad fitment at sill level. (a lot of prep and painting time wasted).  doh!

Went to Halfrauds to get oil for the other halfs car, saw these and took the lot. (would imagine they didn't sell very well since I never see a mk1 near me.)

For once, an actual bargain from a store well known for not being cheap.

Funny how the packaging says GOLF GTI when clearly the car used is not... That's Haynes for you!

Not sure I can get a trade card since I'm not in a trade. I never really use Halfrauds for anything other than emergency purchases.  I suppose if I could get certain things cheaper I would.  However, I may pop in a little more often if they plan on any more clear outs!  They still have some other MK1 Haynes stuff that's not reduced yet.
