Tiny update.... I'm always looking for bargains for my car be it something I need or spares... Other half's dad freaked out when his 1982 beemer had a rear quarter window put through recently, he struggled to find a replacement and Stealers wanted £265!  Don't want to be in that position one day so.......

I have just bought a full set of glass minus windscreen for £20!!! and a replacement windscreen with rubber for £10.50!  :cool:

My screen is chipped and needs to be removed to fix a small rusty leak under the seal. (already have a spare section of windscreen frame/scuttle).  Chipped screens are prone to cracking when putting back in hence the spare.

I have a couple of blisters in the paint by one of the rear quarter windows so will be taking glass out soon to fix and check the rest.

Once I have addressed all the above the car can have it's paint finished.

Oh and then there's the engine and exhaust to sort still!

Lovely little hoard there mate I would do this if I had the space  :cry: you get things like wings which always perish over time

I'm waiting for a price for a spare set of wings I've been offered.  I may have some space but not cash.  Only got the glass because you can't turn down a full set for £20! and the windscreen I actually need!

No garage here though  :cry: just big man shed at the end of the back garden, nowhere near the car or the house!

How it was when the car was in bits... More space now its all back on the car plus I had a big tidy up recently.



Recently put a lean to on the side of it just before I did the chicken run.  Bit more wet weather working/storage space.

Lovely little find there!

I can't wait for the day i see this car back to it's former glorey, more important then the Royal Wedding so i think we should have a bank holiday!  :cool:

All the glass were ebay starting bids where I was lucky enough not to have any competition.  The windscreen I was outbid on, their max bid was £10!.. Tight g1ts!  :grin:  all it took was another 50p!  :laugh:

Although not exciting for this site,  my patience and lack of spare cash pays off. If I had unlimited funds I would be just buying everything in one go regardless of cost.  Sadly my way means progress is detailed but slow.
