Today I did a quick decontmination, wash and wax of the white Golf. There was still transit wax in places and some embedded iron particles. All I had to hand was Fenwicks concentrated bike cleaner, so I gave the car a spray over with that, agitated where needed with a soft paint brush then rinsed off after leaving it to dwell.
AG shampoo was then used as a snow foam and left to dwell whilst I filled up the buckets for the 2BM hand wash. An open hose final rinse left very little water to pat dry with a big fully MF towel, Tyres were dressed using AG instant tyre dressing, before a coat of Collinite 476 was applied. I found that spitting in the wax kept it damp and made it really easy to apply.
The little black runaround was washed yesterday and spent the night out in the rain, so doesn't look too good. The paint is quite cloudy and has buffer trails from the dealer prep. Good job it's booked in for an enhancement detail in about 3 weeks.
The Golf is due to have some black bits added in a few weeks too, which should make it look a little different from the bog standard thing that it is.
