Re: Dom069 - My Mk3 Story So Far, New wheels?
« Reply #310 on: 23 October 2010, 18:50 »
Ok, so wheels have been collected and are on the way to the refurb place, hopefully will get them back next week  :smiley:

In the meantime a few little bits, I replaced the rusted old side skirt covers from brand new ones from VW, £60 for the pair  :sick:

Also got some genuine smoked anniversary indicators to replace my badly tinted ones, new vs old:

Finally got myself another pair of headlights to joey mod as my original ones had broken inside  :rolleyes:

Managed to split them using a hair dryer and stanly knife, as my dad was using the oven:

Didn't take any during shots but here is a before and after one:

Finally one on the car:

Another update to come when the new wheels are on  :smiley:

Thanks mate, got a few things on the list still! Spacers are still to sort, I need a new aerial as mine has passed it's best, I want a decent cat-back at some point as well  :smiley:

Going to turn my attention to the interior soon as well, need a decent audio set up, then possibly look at seats, steering wheel etc.

Couple of pics of the indicators/lights with a camera rather than my phone, I hate how my car looks pink in pictures! It doesn't look anything like that really! Also excuse the dirt, was gonna clean it this morning but its too bloody cold!  :grin:

Nice work on the joey mod and the genuine smoked fogs  :cool: The genuine smoked bits look spot on.

Cheers buddie, also a pic of my modded dials that I did a while ago (the two mega bright bits at the top don't actually look like that! The camera lies!);
