yeah Steve found that bit out lol - snapped two out of the 3 studs holding his original downpipe on......

Some penertrating fluid should free up the studs though; well it did on mine  :smiley:

If they are fitting a Milltek downpipe make sure they replace the gasket between the turbo and and the downpipe - its only a couple of quid  :wink:

gasket comes off with the downpipe so its no extra work to replace it.  Old gasket WILL need replacing though

Can get it from dealers or TPS (Trade Parts Specialists)

head gasket is top of the engine

its just known as a gasket - part no 3A0 253 115 - its its triangular shaped  :nerd:

in total there charging me

the cat back and modding the existing rear valence £385
the big bore £150
labour 1 hr £50


thats £585 all in is it ok? venommotorstorm do both for £495 delivered  but they dont do fitting fit

awesome gti charge 2hrs labour at 50squid

jbs are out of stock for 3 weeks and charge similar but 1hr labour

sounds an ok price

had a look around and basically they are charging you £40 to fit the cat back and £50 to fit the downpipe

hmm thinking about it thats a little pricey as R-Tech will charge you £514 fitted for the full system.

But then its a case of do they have stock and how soon do you want it fitted, plus travelling back and forth
