well picked up s3 engine cover today. With the water bottle bracket and little grub screw. Upon closer inspection. Think it will pay me to get the 5.5l bottle fitted. Any part numbers much appriceated thankx

getting the old one out is easy enough - getting the new one in is a challenge - might be different for you petrol boys as i had to remove the fuel filter to allow enough access to get the new bottle in



and most likely the guys in your parts department won't know about the specific grommet to plug the headlight washer pump hole - think i ended up using an o-ring (which they said was a grommet) and a grommet which plugs the windscreen washer pump hole  :undecided:

IIRC the low level sensor fits into the same position

cheers ppl. Is that part no vw or audi ivor? Is the 5.5l bottle a different bottle or just bigger? Is the top different. Is there any other vag cars that use the 5.5l bottle? Lol ano matt rhyso said its a pain in the ass lol sure we can solve it. Bigger bottle would be handy to

My cars got the 5.5l bottle, in the winter I was having to fill it up 2/3 time a week due to all the crap on the roads  :angry:
