Red I rear badge
« on: 09 September 2008, 21:15 »
Just so everyone knows rear badges on the mk4 mean fook all!!!

VW slapped on what ever thay wanted so thay mean nothing!!

So in anwser to the question all 150 bhp are "red I"  OR all turbos are "red I"
NO THAY ARE NOT!!!!

Dont believe what you read on ebay

You will have to look in the log book, the front of the hand book or on the white sticker in the boot to find which engine is fitted

(This is for the newbies who use the search button - not many then )

So, just to clarify.........

Those with the red 'I' that are not 150bhp are fakes????

Only joking!

I did know this but wasnt sure what the deal was with the TDI's etc etc.

Guys, check this out!!

When I bought my car it has a silver I at the end.

I went and changed it to a red one, and when I drove it again, it had more horse power!!

Well, mine is the 150bhp, and, when i bought it from the garage in Bristol it didnt feel right.  It felt sluggish, and really quite slow.

I was so glad i found the Red 'I' badges for sale on a few of the leading Golf enthusiast websites.  I got home and i immediately took the old Silver 'I' off, put the red one on and its made the world of difference.

Im back up to 150 bhp again..... thank god for that!!
