If 260's will run on OEM management, have a strong suspicion that 276/286 will be too spicy for a daily/ OEM management?

I will tell you now, it'll not run properly on Digifant 3.2 management.

It will idle - just....bouncing about between 600 and 1500 RPM. It will make no power below about 3500 RPM, bogging down and throwing fuel straight out the exhaust...it'll never pass an MOT in 100000 years....but over 3500-4000 it'll run OK and pull like a train.
If mine was anything to go by, that is.

 I didn't think it would run on OEM management, it's going in a MK2 Golf so think it should be ok on emmissions front, especially as I think I'm going to keep the stock cams in it.

I was reading your threads regarding tuning 16v's made interesting reading.

Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

On 268 or bigger.
260s should be OK.

if keeping digi 3.2    just have your cams reprofiled  it's a cheep way to a pair of cams if your not after huge duration
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

part number is 051103373 which appears to be a 6A head, anyone got any experience of fitting that to a ABF bottom end?

Is it even worth it?

What head gasket would you use etc, any help or suggestions gratefully recieved.

Anyone?  :undecided:

Not really wanting to splash a load of cash for sake of something I amn't able to use. I haven't really got a scoob when it comes to oily bits. Learning but it's slow going.

What I gathered on the 'net was that the 6A doesn't flow as well as the ABF one in stock form but once ported would be about the sameas and ABF one(?)

Think this may be more hassle than it's worth though at this rate

ABF heads offer the most potential ( i think )  9a head will go on an ABF   the big question is to what standard was it ported

part number 051103373 which appears to be a 6A head. 6A is an Audi 2ltr running Kjet, TSR ported it to group A spec(?) I think the 6A is a "short block" and ABF is a "tall block", would that even work? Plus I'm wanting to run OEM management and seems like this will be a faff.

happy to be proven wrong but think I'll leave it at this rate.

Yes it will work and fit all ok.

It is not group a spec, it is fully gas flowed, ported and polished.

Also it will be fine on standard management unless you go daft with the cams.
